One of the most well-known treks in the world is the Everest Base Camp Trek. The route is to Mount Everest’s base, which is the tallest mountain on the planet. The hike provides breathtaking vistas of some of the most magnificent and imposing mountains on earth. It also offers a chance to learn about the customary Sherpa way of life.
Anyone with a good level of fitness can complete this walk, despite its difficulty. You will need to be ready for chilly weather, high altitudes, and extended periods of time spent walking. But with careful planning and preparation, you can turn this walk into an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime adventure!
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the city and preparing for your trek.
Take a morning flight to Lukla, the starting point of your trek. From Lukla, trek to Phakding, a small village located on the banks of the Dudh Koshi River.
On the day, you will cross several suspension bridges and climb steeply towards Namche Bazaar, a bustling market town and the gateway to the Everest region.
Spend a day in Namche Bazaar to acclimatize to the high altitude. You can explore the town and visit the local museum.
Today, you will trek to Tengboche, a beautiful village known for its famous monastery and stunning views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.
Continue your trek to Dingboche, a picturesque village located in the Chukung Valley. You will pass through beautiful forests and cross several streams along the way.
Another rest day to acclimatize to the high altitude. You can take a short hike to Nagarjun Hill for stunning views of the surrounding peaks.
Today, you will trek to Lobuche, a small village located at the foot of the Khumbu Glacier. You will pass through the beautiful village of Dughla and see the memorials of climbers who lost their lives on Mount Everest.
Today, you will trek to Gorak Shep, the last village on the trail to Everest Base Camp. After a short rest, you will hike to Everest Base Camp, the starting point for climbers who attempt to summit Mount Everest.
Early in the morning, you will hike to Kala Patthar, a vantage point that offers stunning views of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks. After descending from Kala Patthar, you will trek to Pheriche.
Today, you will retrace your steps and trek back to Namche Bazaar, the bustling market town where you spent a rest day earlier in the trek.
Trek back to Lukla, the endpoint of your trek. This is your last night in the mountains, so you can celebrate with your fellow trekkers and guides.
Take a morning flight back to Kathmandu and spend the rest of the day exploring the city or shopping for souvenirs.
Transfer to the airport for your flight home or to your next destination.
